Land of the Free

I was truly going to hold back today with my thoughts on this election, but decided it would be good therapy for me to just let errr rip!

I do not think that Obama's win is by any means historical. He is only half black and seems to be ashamed of his white heritage, he also does not come from the Historical African-American background of slave ancestry. I also think that there was a force behind this man that has set him up to be a puppet for changing this great nation into a third-world country. There are evil forces in this world that will not rest until our nation is undermined and destroyed. I do not know if Obama will have that kind of power, but I find it to be wearisome.

I also think, if anyone voted for him because of his race has just exercised the greatest example of racism. Let me explain that...when you vote for the President of the United States it should be on that person's resume of experience not race or gender. If you voted for him because you like his message of change (I am still waiting to know why we need to change the greatest nation under God) and his Marxist views of making us all dependent on government...good for you. Your voice and vote is the American way....as long as that lasts.

I am not a far right wing nut as I am sure some would accuse me of, I am although, an American, not a citizen of the world but a red blooded through and through AMERICAN and I do not feel guilty for being blessed by God to have been born in this great nation. Despite our nation's dark and bloody history and injustices done to African-Americans, Native-Americans, Asians, Irish, women of all color, we as a nation have grown and have entered the world as the most humane and free nation in history. We are that shining city on the hill that the world aspires to come to. I make no apologises for these feelings and frankly don't give a rat's ass if you like what I say or not.

GOD BLESS AMERICA, LAND OF THE FREE AND HOME OF THE BRAVE!!!!

Kaitlyn Maher (Top 10) • America's Got Talent 2008

She is such a sweetheart...she makes me happy too.

Jessica Price - Angel - Top 10 America's Got Talent

She is one of my top picks from this show. I hope she makes it to the top 5.

Dress Parade

Someone, who is a lot smarter then me, suggested that I put something different on my blog.....like dresses. So I found these beauties on the Coldwater Creek site. I loved them all!!!

I just love the big blue flowers...this dress is fun and campy, but I am afraid that I would look like a big meadow in it....oh okay I would look like the rolling praire!

This brown sophisticated lovely reminds me of the 50's, I can see a big wide-brimed straw hat on Audrey Hepburn's head as she flirts with Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday.

It is Fiesta time in this fun quirky orange dress. I love the scalloped edge of the skirt. How fun it would be to wear this dress on a cruise to Mexico!

I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING

Our Unbiased Media

The above really shows how low the media can go. For years all we have heard is that women can do it all....but when a conservative woman does....the left goes nuts. This woman and her family have been attacked like none other. Some in the media are calling for her to do a paternity test to prove her baby is her's not her daughter's....they want to know if she has ever had an affair....no one treated Hillary this bad hmmmm except the Obama Camp!!!

My Favorite Garage Sale Find

Last weekend I went garage sale shopping and found some great stuff for Trade Days next weekend. While I was browsing (ha ha) should say frenzy feeding, I saw this plain looking book on a table for .75 cents.

I flipped it open and this was the first page I saw. It was love at first sight for me. I snatched that book up fast and have already spent hours looking at it. I love birds and the drawings are beautiful. The book was published in 1961 and I consider it one of my new treasures!

These are coastal birds that I see every day and they really are beautiful, if not messy when flying over my boat or over the dock.

Just wanted to show some different pictures. The book is full of beautiful colorful pictures of birds around the world. Oh yea it is pretty interesting reading also.

Our Baby Sperm Whale

This baby sperm whale washed ashore just down from our house. We went down the beach to see it and hoped it would make it's way back to sea. I am sorry to say there was no happy ending. We were all told that it was dead but now we see they had to kill it because it was in pain and distressed. I think it was struggling pretty hard to get back to it's mommy but I guess it was just to sick. I added the local news account and some photos I took.

Beached whale euthanized in Corpus Christi SOURCE:

Corpus Christi Caller-Times Posted: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 8:42 a.m. CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (AP) -- A 30-foot-long sperm whale weighing more than eight tons was euthanized after stranding itself in shallow surf along the Texas coast. The whale washed up about 40 feet from the shore Tuesday on Mustang Island. Onlookers watched it thrash about before a veterinarian gave the whale two doses of tranquilizers, enough to knock out two or three elephants. A necropsy to see why the whale was sick was scheduled for Wednesday, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reported. Police say a wrecker service that volunteered to pull the whale from the water likely saved $9,000. Lea Walker, a regional director with the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network, says the whale was too massive to transport or hold in a tank to rehabilitate. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. Vintage Wall Paper

I love all things vintage and thought these were just lovely. I found them at bradbury.com/postwar.html looks like they cost about $90.00 a roll but a roll covers 30 square feet. I would love to have a little house I could fix up with vintage yummies like V's house.

Tooooo Funnnnnny

This was a float in a German parade. American politics have always amused others in the world. But with that being said, at least we have free elections and anyone can be president, just look at the chuckle-heads we have in the race right now.

Cute Pork Chops

In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fa ll into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only 'orphans' that could be found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops??
Take a look...
