Inspirational

My dear friend Lee sent this to me and I have just fallen in love with it! I have never heard the Battle Hymn of the Republic sung like this before. Move over Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Pointy Kitty/Sleepy Kitty

Santa's cutest little elf made me a Pointy Kitty and a beautiful quilt. I also could not resist a picture of my sleepy kitty to go along with this post. Make sure you click on the quilt picture so you can see it up close and admire it's beauty!

NOEL

I love these little angles!!! I mentioned them earlier but forgot to post a picture. They are from the 50's or 60's. When I was a little girl we had a set like these. Wish I still had the original ones but just happy to have these!!

Masters Degree

TJ is graduating this Saturday with his Masters in Digital Forensics. Now he can be a CSI guy!!! He has been going to school since he was five years old. He is soooooo happy to be finished and we are so happy he is too. We are very proud of him!
These pictures are from summer before last when he crewed with me on SV Why Knot to Vera Cruz, Mexico. Only a cute girl could put mud on his face. This was taken up in the mountains at a beautiful lake we all took a little side trip to.

Christmas Decorating

Last year I was a Scrooge and did not put up a tree....but this year I decided we needed a little Christmas Cheer on Liberty Call. I found this cute little tree at Macy's half off. It is from the Martha Stewart Collection sooooo I could not resist it. I found the wooden Santa at the grocery store and the Noel angels I got from my sister-in-law as she was putting them out in her antique booth at the mall last year. The lighted Santa Head, I think is from the 60's and he is just tooooo cute. So we are all set for the season!!!

Toys for Tots

Yesterday we rode with about 2,000 bikes for Toys for Tots. The Marine Corps collected lots of great toys. We took a Harley Teddy Bear and named him Mohammad! The ride went through downtown and ended at a great BBQ. The local police kept the traffic stopped for us and lots of people came out to cheer everyone on. Great way to start the holiday season.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was food, family and more food!!! Spent the day in the big city of Poteet then drove up to the Texas Hill Country for the rest of the weekend. All had fun and went home stuffed like a turkey. Now were headed down the road to Christmas. More fooooooood!!!
Just had to post a pic of two pretty Pilgrims!

Wild Hogs

Hubby and friend took a road trip on their Harleys to Vegas the week before Thanksgiving. Us girls opted out of this ride! We wanted to go back to the Rum Factory!!! Looks like they were a little chilly here. They made it back just in time for turkey and pumpkin pie.

Room With a View!

I saw a couple on the beach having their wedding photo taken from our hotel balcony and thought 'HOW ROMANTIC' sooooo I took one too. My version of being a wedding crasher.
The other photos are of the pool...and a chubby man sitting on a lounge chair. I was not trying to get the chubby man he was just in the view.
This should end my Bahama trip blogging. Stay tuned for Thanksgiving!!!

Bahama Trip Third and Final Chapter

Lets see we were last seen shopping and going to the rum factory...but we did find time to do some snorkeling and para sailing. How do you like the pictures I took snorkeling? Okay I took these at the Atlantis Casino. They have a beautiful aquarium there and I just loved the stingray.

See my hubby out there swimming with the sharks? I could see no good reason to get off a perfectly sound boat to swim with sharks. But that's him closes to the big red ball.

Here we got our tootsies wet!

My hair is flying out like the flying nun!

Bahama Trip Second Edition

After our trip to the Rum Factory our taxi driver took us downtown to the Straw Market to shop. We walked through the market and came out on a back street along the water front where the cruise ships come in. There we saw a local boy on his fishing boat loaded down with conch shells. He was selling them for 5.00 dollars each. We thought WOW what a bargain so we each picked out a big, beautiful, shiny pink shell. We carried them around all day and I am sure mine weighed at least 20 pounds. The sad part of this story....when we left the Bahamas, security at the airport took them!!!! We thought we could carry them on the plane but I guess security thought we may CONCH someone in the head with them. (Sorry could not resist that!) So the moral of this story...pack your conch shells in your luggage. They told us we could put them in our suitcase but we had already sent our luggage on the conveyor belt after standing in line for check in for two hours. Our hubby's said that boy most likely comes to the airport every morning and collect all the confiscated shells and takes them downtown to sell again. We found no humor in their humor!!!

Anyway, back to our shopping day. I found this adorable Bahama baby and these cute cook books. I wanted them for the Key Lime Pie recipe and the rum drinks to impress all my boating friends with my oh so Paula Deen type parties. I did buy some necklaces made of shells and coffee beans to add to my collection of junk.

Stay tuned for the third edition of our Bahama Trip!!! Snorkeling and Para sailing!

Bahama Trip First Edition

We recently went to the Bahamas for five days with our good friends. We went snorkling and parasailing and did lots of shopping.

My friend and I planned a day to the Barcadi Rum factory. Our taxi driver told us that if there were not at least ten people there for the tour they would not do one. But we wanted to go anyway. So after a forty minute drive there on the wrong side of the road, they drive on the left there because they were British at one time, we got there just as the gate was opening. Our taxi driver said he had to wait for us because there were no taxis there to bring us back. He went in to check on the tour and he was told it would be an hour or more. Sooooo we opted for pictures at the rum bar and headed back to town to the Straw Market and all the great shopping there.

Just for fun!

Since it is so close to Thanksgiving I thought a little help from the food network might come in handy!

A couple of more pictures!!

Showing Off

Today I thought I would show off my home and where I live. I am one of the few lucky ones, if you consider it lucky, to live on a boat in a beautiful marina. We live on a 44 foot Lagoon catamaran and we have had for exactly one year. How time flys.....it seems like yesterday she arrived from France, her birth place, and we moved aboard. So enjoy the pictures! Can you see my kitty up by the tv? She likes watching out the windows at the seagulls and pelicans and any strangers that may wonder down the dock. The gally is big and roomy for all those big dinners I make. The view from the top pictures is out the window by my stove. Sooooo see what I mean? It's a great place to live!
